Red Bull Soapbox Race first took place in 2000, and has visited over 80 countries since it's inaugural season. September 29th, 2013 marked the first time Soapbox has visited Taiwan, making it the only Asian country to host the event this year. The event saw over 50 teams race full speed down a track over 350 meters long in their home-made cars before finishing at the entrance of the Taipei National University of the Arts. Passionate, ingenious, and zany teams all battled it out to be crowned champ of speed, creativity, and overall showmanship.
