Destiny is just about as hyped as any other game in recent history. I watched a bit of a live steam, and didn't come away impressed. Have any of you played it, and if so, what are your thoughts?

Are there other animes that scratch the same itch that Death Note does? I'm not quite ready to rewatch Death Note, but certainly wouldn't mind something along the same lines.

Basshunter was one of my earlier introductions into eletronica/techno/trance types of music. He's been around for a while. I definitely haven't listened to him as much as I used to, but his new album has some nice stuff on it

This is a fun one to watch Peg is a bit over dramatic, but other than that it's a fun show, and the art style is wonderful.

Photon Sword right?

It even sounds like a lightsaber. I swear they took a lightsaber sound and just edited it a little bit. :p

On a more positive note, I'm enjoying the series so far.

That's something I've never had and something I'll have to try.

The people making this certainly do :p

I've never seen the show. It looks like something I would like to watch - so I'll have to check it out

I was actually a pretty good kid - once upon a time :p Didn't drink anything until 21.

Congrats on not having a drink for 2 years lonewolf! Alcohol is tricky bugger. I have friends that won't touch the stuff because their parents weren't able to control their habits.

Another one I like: Buchanan's Whiskey with a bit of Canada Dry and Ice.

Yeah me either :p

It's been a while since I've gone overboard though. There was actually a time when I had a fair amount of parties at my place, back when I had a room mate. But things change when you are married with a kid

Did you go to school to work on large machinery? Or did you fall into the job, or maybe just self taught?

I've known a few really mechnically minded people. Quite a few just work on their own things, and eventually spread out to working on friends/family.

Heavy machinery and hydraulics is another league of it's own though I worked for a tree service for a bit, and whenever something went wrong with the hydraulics it was a massive pain.

I have never tried scotch. It's something on my to-do list. Media gives the impression old white guys drink scotch, so one of these days

That crack on the forklift. EEEEEK.

Your tool box is amazing. Those things get really, really expensive. I've just now begun my tool collection. I have a couple of power drills. Having a kid, I'm putting together more and more things, and I needed to borrow power drills more and more. It's nice to finally have a few tools of my own.

I'll have to upload a pic of my work - though it's a little less fun to look at than yours

What are some dragon themed movies everyone likes?

IMO it's hard to beat How To Train Your Dragon but maybe I'm forgetting something classic (I probably am)

Sheesh lonewolf. Is air conditioning/swamp coolers not a prevelant down in Australia?

Our rooms generally run 20 degrees cooler than outside on a hot day with a swamp. ACs are expensive but a good one will keep the temp steady. Our place is swamp with a couple of room ACs
